On the 23rd of November, I travelled to London with my boyfriend and my cousin…I realize now, that it’s been over a week that I have returned, and I haven’t posted anything about my trip yet. In my defense, I didn’t have enough time, till now to look at the photos and create a post. Plus, I wanted to do my giveaway first, to give you plenty of time to enter, before Christmas (in case the winner wants to order something for the holidays)! If you haven’t entered the giveaway yet, you can do it now. But it’s only open for my Greek readers this time, so I ask my international readers to forgive me for this. Today, I’m sharing with you my first full day in London. Meaning, I arrived there at 2AM, so my days there started on Saturday morning.
Our hotel was 30minutes from central London by bus, so we started from Baker Street, had some breakfast, and waited for my dear blogger friend Denise to come and meet us there. One of the main reasons I said yes to this trip was to meet her in person, so I’m really glad we made it. We walked a lot with her, unfortunately under the rain. We started from Oxford Street, and walked to Soho, stopped for dinner somewhere, and then continued to Piccadilly Circus where we left her. After that we continued walking, took some other streets until we reached our bus stop which was in Marble Arch. We didn’t do many things that day, mostly due to the weather, but we walked a lot and saw parts of Central London. There’s an overload of photos (mostly food ones) so excuse me for that.
Oxford Street
One of the display windows of Selfridges
Christmas lights all over Oxford Street
This is actually me (with the white coat, on the bottom center of the photo) and Denise, walking and talking under our umbrellas
Dinner stop at Yo! Sushi Japanese restaurant in Soho
I believe this was a Katsu Selection T. chose.
And I think my cousin got a Chicken Firecracker rice. Both very good!
This is my Chicken Katsu. Simply delicious!
Spicy chicken ISO for T. I was told it was too hot for my sensitive stomach, so I didn’t try it.
Chicken Katsu curry…Nice but a bit too spicy for me!
If I’m not mistaken this is Ramen noodles soup. My cousin can correct me in the comments, if she reads this. Couldn’t find it in the menu….
California rolls for me. First try ever! Not a fan so far.
Mochi for me, which I was so eager to try, but wasn’t at all satisfied with. I was expecting something sweeter, and closer to marzipan, judging from their look.
Dorayaki for my cousin A. She liked it a lot!
Find the whole Yo! Sushi menu here.
I know Japanese food isn’t as good as seeing photos from London, but that’s what we did on our first day there, and I wanted to show you! It seems that I had to go to London to try Japanese food for the first time. hehe I hope I’ll have the chance to try more dishes in the future.
After that, we walked through Soho.
I had to take a photo of a telephone booth of course.
Photo, courtesy of Denise
At first I thought to crop myself out of the photo because I didn’t want to put “my cartoonish eyes” on! But then I figured, why not, it goes with the background! So here are my big Japanese cartoon eyes again! Me and my amazing blogger friend Denise! She is such a sweet girl, and I consider her one of my best friends, even if we live so far apart, and I only met her for the first time in person there. Denise, it was great meeting you! I’m so happy!
Continuing to….
Piccadilly Circus
Ripley’s Believe it or Not, building
And with this photo, my first post about my trip to London comes to an end. I know most of you have already been to London at least once, but it was the first time for me, so I hope you enjoyed seeing my photos and reading my experience.
I hope you stay for the next parts of my London experience, which will be posted next week. I hope you all have an amazing weekend. And I hope to find enough time to decorate my house for Christmas. 🙂
See you all next time with another London post, and don’t forget to take part on my giveaway (only open for Greek readers!).

Ooohh, I said I would comment tomorrow, but I couldn’t resist commenting now!
Soooo happy we had the chance to meet, and as I said, it was like meeting my best friend from childhood – you’re one of my best friends for sure and you know this! It was such an honor to meet you, T. and your cousin, and thanks for saying you said yes to the trip thinking of me – cause I was hopig so much that one day you would come here!
I think you are one of the sweetest friends I have ever had, and thank you so much for your support yesterday, before that of course, and today – so important dates to me… s’euxaristw para poli!
Now, we kind of did many things… yes, the rain didn’t help… but Baker Street, the famous cafe, then Oxford Street, Selfridges, Schuh 🙂 we had the phone sorted and some shopping 🙂 (we could have had more, hehe), comments about Regent Street, Carnaby Street and Bond Street around Oxf.St – then Soho, restaurant, Ripley’s, Boots drugstore, Piccadilly Circus and for you Marble Arch then – and all of that under the rain! Hair like a bunch of Medusa snakes, hahahaha! But it was worth it, we had a nice time together, such a pleasure to meet you, sooo lovely!
Your dishes look better now than at the restaurant 🙂 Mine were poor vegetarian things, hahaha! The Mochi… no, not my favorite!
I didn’t see myself in that picture with the blue umbrella, hahaha! Only you could see it!
Your “cartoon eyes” always look nice, believe me! And you know what, it looks like makeup! I like them!
I am eager to see your next posts about London!!!! You wrote such a great report now, I can’t wait to read the others!
Filakia polla and again, thanks for all, aaaalways!

Thank you SO much for all these wonderful things you said about me! 🙂 The feelings are mutual!
I know we did many things that day, but since it was raining most of the time, I didn’t have many photos from all the places we went, so I didn’t want to say everything in details, cause I didn’t want to tire them with an even longer text. But thank you so much for telling these details. Now everyone who’s interested can read them, and I can remember all the places we visited that day.
Your hair was great!!! Humidity isn’t the best for the hair, but it’s better for the skin it seems.
I wish I had taken photos of your dishes as well. I should have.
I’m sure you’re too. I saw it in a larger size. Your umbrella is definitely there, even if we can’t see you clearly, because of the guy behind us.
I’ll try to work on my next post from tomorrow, so I can show them to you this week.
Filakia polla Denise mou! 🙂

i didn’t notice a lot of japanese restaurants in greece, found one in athens and saw another on santorini itself but i think they are catering to tourists. glad you enjoyed it, japanese is one of my favourite food and it’s so healthy 😉 loving the pictures of london!

We don’t have many Japanese restaurants in Greece, as far as I know, especially in Thessaloniki where I live, but we do have many restaurants with Asian cuisine in general. But most of them are Chinese ones. I love Chinese, but I hadn’t tried Japanese until now. I’m not thrilled but I want to try it again.
Thank you! 🙂
