New in: Café Noir B&W flats

As I have said many times, those of you follow me either on Facebook, or Twitter, already know that I ordered a new pair of flats (!), and have already seen a little sneak peek. So if you don’t follow me there yet, make sure you will, to get more fresh news about me and this little blog.  So, let me introduce you to my new flats.

Aren’t they cute? They are from the brand Café Noir, and I purchased them via Spartoo.gr. From the first time I saw them, I thought there was something really Chanel-esque about them. It must be the classic B&W design, but they stole my heart in seconds.

I placed my order last Sunday night (March 4th-after midnight), so I expected them to come during the next week (on Friday, or at least Saturday, as they were coming with courier services and the average delivery time for the site was 5 days). But the UPS site had an expected delivery day, 9 days after I placed my order. And that’s when they came. Really punctual on their expected delivery day, but not what I was originally expected. Of course I had previous encounters with UPS couriers a few months back, when we had paid for 1 day delivery (from Thursday to Friday, as it was an urgent delivery), which cost us around 100 euros, and they brought us the package on Monday, just before (and just on time for) a scheduled trip we had. Of course this has nothing to do with Spartoo, I just remembered it, and thought I should share it with you, because I’m still frustrated for paying so much money, for 1 day delivery, and not being reimbursed after complaining to them, about that. Anyway, back to the shoes….

They were perfectly packaged, and protected, although the shoebox was a bit dirty and scratched (and I have a thing, about wanting my shoeboxes to be as perfect as possible-but that almost never happens). At least, the shoes were carefully wrapped and protected in their box.

Already wore them yesterday, but that outfit has to wait for a few weeks, as I have many more to show you!

P.S. These are a 38, and they are actually a bit bigger than usual 38s, which makes them perfect for summer months.

  11. We have the same size feet! Love these, like I mentioned before, they really are very cute and ballet flats are so nice to wear everywhere! Just checked out Spartoo, they have so many nice shoes but too bad they don’t ship here! xx

  16. These are perfect for the spring. They will add a nice touch to any outfit. I had that happen with UPS before. Only, it was for a book I needed for school. Unfortunately it didn’t come in on time so I had to go to another universities library to take it out.

  24. I thought about “saving” a comment for tomorrow 🙂 (you know why!), but as I’m feeling better today, I thought why not? Of course! I’m a faithful reader!
    I remember these sweet shoes, and I am glad you bought them! They are really sweet and you will wear them many times in the summer; they are elegant and you are elegant! I’m really looking very much forward to an outfit with them!
    As for couriers, yes… I’m having luck with them, but one of them last year said I didn’t send back a pair of sneakers and I definitely did. It’s a “fight” now, when there’s was lack of competence from their side and I – organized (but not in Zara’s case – kept the receipt of return!
    Well, I do remember that awful courier service – 1 day promise and so late delivered! And it was sent at 11 AM, so, they can’t say it was late in the evening and that’s why it took so long, no – it was “early” in the morning.
    Anyway, I’m glad you have the goods now and that you also have these very sweet shoes with you!
    Wear them soon, please… 🙂

    • Hey Denise! I’m so glad you’re feeling better, and of course that you’re leaving me one of your sweet comments, as always!
      I’m sure I will wear them a lot. I already wore them on Saturday! But you’ll see this outfit sometime next week (or even later), as I have many more posts to show you before! I took many outfit photos, but didn’t have time post them, so now they are already “old”.
      Don’t worry about the courier! I just remembered it with this case, and thought I should share it in the blog, for others to be careful.
      I’m feeling a bit better, but so so tired! As I’m helping my cousin with his thesis, these last days!

  25. Indeed they looks like Chanel flats, but not less gorgeous as Chanel ones. Great choice darling, they are such a timeless piece. I know what you mean, in my perfect world all my sheo boxes would be looking neat, but lots of shops don’t much cre about them and usually I get them damaged.
