My month in pics

As I told you on my last post, I decided to convert my “week in pics” posts, to “month in pics” ones. It’s easier for me, as I don’t write every day and let’s face it, an almost completely spent in my house week, isn’t so eventful.

So here we are, on my first month in pics post, in which I will show you the highlights of my month, in my opinion of course. Get prepared for lots of food pictures, as you know how much of a food lover I am. But you may not know yet, that I love to cook too. I don’t know many recipes, but I know how to cook the things I like.

So, my month started with me, seeing the pictures of my trip to Nafplio (see my previous posts here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7– wow I did so many posts!), and showing you my outfits, and the city.

My week in pics – Nafplio edition

Good morning dear readers! How was your week? It’s finally Friday, and I know many of you are really happy about it.

Today I’ll present you with one more “My week in pics”, which this time consists of photos of my trip to Nafplio. I know that so far this column doesn’t have a standard day of the week to be published, (as I don’t write daily on this blog, cause that would be difficult for me), but I’ll try to work it out in the future, if I’m going to continue writing it.  Maybe I should try posting more often than 2-3 times a week.

Anyway, I have many outfits from my trip to show you in my future posts, but I thought it would be better to start with showing you some miscellaneous pictures instead. So you can get a picture of the place I’ve been last week, and for me to keep some kind of a scrapbook to remember it.

Huge post alert! Lots of pictures too!

Starting with, the buildings:

My week in pics

Good morning my lovely readers! How was your week so far? As you may know, I’m on a trip to Nafplio for a few days, so this is a scheduled post. I hope to have many photos to show you when I get back. In the meantime, I’ll show you the ones from last week.

I was really busy last week, trying to do all the tasks I had on my mind, including the scheduling of these posts, and I wasn’t able to do another “My week in pics”.  But today I’ll combine them all in one post, to show you the highlights of my previous weeks.

Starting with, an amazing gift I received by my lovely blogger friend, Denise. She sent me so many stuff, and I was really excited to see what was in the package I received.

My week in pics

Hello my dear readers! How is everybody? I hope you’re having a nice week.

The weather here is getting cooler, as the temperature has fallen a lot in just one day. Still haven’t packed my summer clothes, nor did I put my winter ones in my closet, but I think I’ll have to.

This week I have something different for you, it’s a new idea for my blog that I want to keep as a weekly “column” but I’m not sure if it would be possible. We’ll see how it goes. I’m waiting for your opinions.

So, these are some of the things I did during the week.

Summer cocktails

Summer isn’t over yet; in fact here in Greece most people are taking their summer leave near August 15th, which is a national holiday (August 15th is one of the biggest holidays in Greece, as it’s the Assumption of Mary according to Christians).

This post isn’t about fashion but it has to do with one of my passions. That is summer cocktails. Not only do I like drinking them, but I also love making them. That’s something that I “inherited” from my father. He always liked to have all possible drinks at home, so he could make cocktails and other drinks for his friends. This way, everyone would be happy.

Today, I’ll write about my favourite kind of cocktails, sweet ones! Basically, margaritas but with a twist, making them more close to my personal likings.

If you are under-aged, this is not a post for you!

Basic Margarita Recipe (not pictured-altered to fit my likings!)

Instructions: In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a salt rimmed stemware or Martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.

2 oz. tequila

2 oz. Cointreau

3 oz. lime juice

1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Strawberry Margarita

Using the Basic Margarita recipe, use again 2 oz. Tequila, 2 oz. Cointreau, 2 oz. of lime juice this time and add some fresh strawberries (or strawberry juice if you like – about 3 oz. of it). Instead of salt, use sugar to rim you glasses. Garnish with a strawberry or a slice of lime again.
