My month in pics

Another month comes to an end, and a new spring month is about to start. Let’s see what happened during that month in my life.

I created my wishlist for March, and fell in love with a pair of shoes.

I had my first spring purchases, which were filled with pastels, and happy spring colors, and at the end of the month, I did some more shopping.

My month in pics

I would have loved to say, that this month was all about fashion, glamorous outfits, bags, shoes, and stuff for me, but I’m afraid it was nothing like that. In fact it was a quite boring month, with a few exceptions. My boy was away, so I was not in the mood to leave the house in this cold, I was still on a diet for at least half of February (I managed to lose 2.5kilos, yayyy!!), but I can’t say that we didn’t eat well, or had huge family lunches. And this is what I’m going to show you this month. Yes, again food….But be patient, I have other things to show you in my next posts.

One more month is coming to an end, and while writing this post, I noticed that there wasn’t something really special about this month, that I haven’t already showed you! You see, January is one of my least favourite months, because of the dark cold nights (and sometimes days!). So not many outfit pics were taken, because I wasn’t in a mood to wear less than 5 pieces of clothing together without freezing to death, and as a result I looked more like a bear than a “fashion blogger”. Most days I avoided getting out of the house if it wasn’t necessary, I hate the cold. Although, I do have two of them to show you during the next month, when the weather was a bit less than terribly cold.  For now, here’s a sneak peek, of a one-day trip I had, to Kavala, a city in the northeast of Greece.

Holiday Diary

Hello sweeties! How was your week? It’s Friday today, and I’m really excited, cause we’re almost 1 week away from my little Blog’s first anniversary, which gives me great pleasure. I may have a surprise for you, but you will have to stay tuned to find out, so follow this blog any way you like! I would be grateful.

I’m also really excited to finally have the holiday photos ready for you, as I promised on my previous posts! As many of you may already expect, there are mostly food pictures, a few gifts, decorations and some miscellaneous stuff. But those of you who follow my blog for a long time, know how much I love cooking and baking. So let’s get started!

Every year around Christmas, for the last 5-6 years, it has become a tradition for me to make Christmas treats. It may have taken me a little bit longer this year due to the problem I had with my oven, but I finally made them. My close relatives and friends know by now that they should expect a big platter of my homemade melomakarona as a gift. Melomakarona are a traditional dessert of Greek cuisine, prepared primarily during the Christmas holiday season. They can be generally described as “Christmas cookies soaked in syrup of diluted honey (méli in Greek) and then sprinkled with crushed walnuts” (source).
