My month in pics – August 2013

This month passed by so quickly! We’re only one day away from September, but I won’t worry about it. Even though we have more frequent rains lately, I’m staying positive that September will be really warm too. Or at least I hope so! I really loved all the outfits I wore this month, and the photo sessions we had with T. and some of my blogger friends. Which outfit is your favorite? It’s always a difficult choice for me. For those of you who don’t have an Instagram account, I prepared a recap of my month. If however, you’re on Instagram and you like what you see feel free to follow me. It will be my greatest pleasure. Let’s hope for an even better September, shall we?

Road trip to Orestiada | Travel

It’s already been a couple of weeks since my trip to Orestiada, Greece, but I knew that most of you were on vacation and decided to postpone this post so it actually gets read. Seeing these pictures again, reminded me of my last travel, which was…far too long ago; last November, when we had travelled to London. I have so many fond memories from that travel; it almost brought tears to my eyes. I miss my friend Denise, whom I met there for the first time, after having been talking to her for years. I wish someday to go back and see more. Back to this trip now… we were invited by some friends who recently moved there to stay at their place for a few days, and since we haven’t gone anywhere this summer, we gladly said yes. The road trip was longer than we anticipated, but it was worth it. We had one full day there, during which we visited Ardas River, the forest of Dadia, and a waterpark called Cataract. This post is a bit picture-loaded, but the beauty of the area shouldn’t be ignored.

My month in pics – July 2013

Can’t believe that we’re one day away from August! It seems like yesterday that summer just came. And most of all I can’t believe that I haven’t gone on vacation yet (and I don’t know if I will, anyway). Let’s hope that August would be a better one for me. I’m always starting with my outfits, so here they are: 1) ombre maxi dress, 2) colorful day, 3) Summer black and whites, 4) What I wore on my nephew’s christening, 5) Anniversary look, 6) maxi dress & fashion bloggers’ meeting. 6 of them for this month (and I owe you one)…which is strange because it was definitely a month I went out a lot. It must be because I didn’t have someone to photograph my outfits at that time. But thanks to my bf, my new iPhone has been a great friend lately, since I can photograph anything I want, including “previews” of my outfits, and let’s face it, most of my meals. I love photographing my food. So here are the photos I uploaded on my Instagram this month. Don’t forget to follow me there. When I look at them I see I had a great use of my new jelly bag, and I liked my outfits with it so much that I’m planning to wear them again to photograph them for the blog and show you the complete look. Would you like that?

Happy Anniversary M. & T.

A few days ago, T. and I, celebrated our anniversary! We’ve been together for years, and despite everything around us we’ve stayed united and strong. People change, friends grow apart, and in this difficult world we’re happy to have each other, and grow together, not apart. T. is the man behind the camera in almost all of my outfit photos, and even though he’s shy too, he agreed to do this photoshoot with me, and celebrate our anniversary in a more special way. I respected his privacy, and didn’t post his face. How could I? I don’t even show mine here. It’s not his fault he’s dating a crazy “fashion blogger”. Despite the fact that he doesn’t like taking photos, he’s been a huge help to me, and I know that he does it because he loves me. I show my love in different ways, and in this case, with a new pair of shoes. I got 2 (matching) pairs of shoes for both of us, to celebrate our anniversary. And I thought it would be really romantic to photograph ourselves in them. Of course after the photoshoot we went for dinner too. 😉 Do you like the result?

Shop my closet | Shop launch

Today, I’m super excited to announce to you that I just launched my shop. It’s something that was an idea in my head for over a year, and that I’ve meaning to do for months. It’s something that makes me super excited but at the same time a bit stressed too. It’s something new to me, and since I haven’t done it before, I have to learn how to do it. But let me tell you a few things about this new shop. All items on this store are taken from my closet. Most of them are slightly-worn and some of them never-worn, and have been sitting in my closet for years. I’m one of those people that get easily attached to anything, including inanimate objects, so I hesitated a lot before taking the decision to sell them. But since I haven’t worn them in years, there’s no reason for them to sit in my closet any longer. I worked really hard on this shop. I had to choose the items I didn’t need any more, make sure they’re in a good condition, photograph them (huge thanks to my model, my cousin A.!), wash them, iron then, create the shop, upload each item by hand, and then finally launch the shop. Also, huge thanks to T., who’s helped me with some technical stuff, but mostly because he’s been “holding my hand” during this really stressful but also exciting process. So check out the shop, browse through the categories (we have jeans, pants, tops/blouses, skirts, shorts, and bags), click on the items you like, to read their description, see more detailed photos, and add them to your cart, so they can find a new owner and be re-loved! Finally, huge thanks to all of you! Without your love and support, I probably wouldn’t have done this. So thank you very much!
