Comfy at Belgrade fortress | Outfits

Comfy in Belgrade fortress 6- outfit - DoYouSpeakGossip.comThe number one rule for me when I’m traveling is to stay warm and be comfortable. Traveling in my opinion is all about sightseeing, and walking long distances to get to experience the city you’re visiting, as much as you can. But if you’re feeling uncomfortable, you can’t enjoy the trip, so stay warm and wear comfortable clothes and shoes is my advice. You’ve seen part of my outfit in my previous post, my photo-diary from my 2nd day in Belgrade, but here is the full outfit with all its details. This top (with what I like to call bat-sleeves) has been in my closet for ages, and it used to be one of my favorite pieces. I used to be obsessed with this kind of sleeves, and it’s not the only top I own in this style. I haven’t worn it in a while but it was the perfect layering piece for my trip, so it went straight to my suitcase and came with me. I hope you like the look. Come with me to Belgrade | Travel

At the fortress of Belgrade - DoYouSpeakGossip.comThose of you who follow me on social media know that I took a short trip to Belgrade less than a couple of weeks ago. I just needed to sort out the photos and take some time to post the outfits I still “owed” you since February, but here I am. Long story short, T. had an offer for a 4-day road trip to Belgrade (all expenses paid) and he surprised me with it, almost at the very last minute. Of course it was too good of an opportunity to pass, so I packed my things and went to Belgrade. 12 hours on the road (stops and borders included) and we were there. I didn’t take any photos on the first day, since it was already dark outside, so let’s start with the 2nd one. We drove through the city, and saw some of the sights through the bus, and then we stopped at Saint Sava church, visited the Tesla museum, and walked through Kalemegdan Park and the fortress of Belgrade. We returned at the hotel for dinner, and ended the night in one of the city’s “famous” casinos (!) (We were part of a group so we played along – endless free drinks? why not? hehe). Detailed outfit shots are coming on the next post, and if you want to see some more photos from Belgrade go to my Instagram account. Check the captions under the photos for info.

Preveza vacation – Day 4 | Travel

Day 4 was the last of our vacation. We left the hotel at 12, after having breakfast, and waiting for the rain to stop, and took the long way home in order to visit more seaside cities and maybe one last beach. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side that day, but we still managed to visit places, and take many photos. We kept stopping at the side of the road to enjoy the view and take photos whenever we had the chance, and we took advantage of the whole day before returning home tired, after what seemed to be 12h of travelling. Check out the photos and their captions below for more details.

Preveza vacation – Day 3 | Travel

Day 3 in Preveza was really full, so I have to warn you that this post is picture-loaded. But a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’m going to give you a small summary of the day, and then let you continue to the pics and captions to learn more. We decided to go to Acheron river on the 3rd day , and also visit the nearby Necromanteio (which was unfortunately closed). We skipped lunch to then go to Parga’s castle, and enjoy the view of Parga from there. Our day ended there, since we wanted to return to the hotel for dinner and stay in that night, which turned out to be a wise decision; at dinner time the skies opened and a storm hit the area. It was raining cats & dogs so we thanked our luck for deciding to stay in, and enjoyed a drink at our hotel. If you were following me on Instagram, you’ve surely seen some photos, but if you haven’t you can do it here.

Preveza vacation Day 2 | Travel

Day 2 of our vacation to Preveza was quite full, and filled with lots of back and forths between towns. We did many things that day and we also managed to be back at the hotel for every meal and relax by (and in) the pool. Started the day with a good breakfast (I missed those!), before visiting the famous city of Parga which seems to be very popular among tourists. We walked through the busy roads and alleys there, took lots of photos and headed to Lichnos beach which was very close to Parga (note that the fish there bite! And I’m being totally serious! They bit my leg and made it bleed. Ok it was tiny, but it hurt. Vicious fish! Never been bullied out of water by fish; that was a first!). So after we left that beach, we returned to our hotel for lunch, and then sat by the pool and relaxed under the sun while reading magazines. Of course at some point we swam too, and it was sooo good. The hotel pool was amazing. After dinner we headed to Parga again to see how it looks at night, since it was the only city we encountered that was still so lively, and full of tourists. Please read the labels under each photo and excuse me for putting so many photos in one post. It was impossible to choose among them, and since this is a diary post, I decided to put them anyway. Enjoy!
