Wycon Cosmetics Lift Effect foundation review

Wycon cosmetics lift effect foundation reviewPromised you I’ll be back with new reviews, and here’s another one. I’ve been using Wycon Cosmetics’ Lift Effect Foundation for a few months now and it’s time to share my opinion about it. It’s a really nice foundation, not too matte, not too dewy, that has SPF15 and it looks very natural on the skin. I went with shade 02 (Beige) which turned out to be darker than I’d like it to be, so that made it difficult for me to wear everyday, but I did wear it plenty of times. It has a nice consistency, not too thick not too thin, which makes it easy to apply it either with a brush or a makeup sponge and it stays put for hours. If I had chosen the proper shade for me I would have worn it much more, so I’m sad that I didn’t. Compared to all the other foundations I’ve tried so far I’d give it an 8/10 because I do like it, but I don’t love it. So my search for the best foundation for my skin continues.

Maybelline Masterblush color and highlighting kit | Review

Maybelline Masterblush color and highlighting kit 2

It’s been a long time since I received this palette from Maybelline, and the truth is that I’m a little behind on my reviews here on the blog. I do review them on my Youtube channel, but I really want to also write posts for them here. So I’ll try to post reviews more often from now on. When I received the MasterBlush Color & highlighting kit, I wasn’t sure I was gonna use it much, but I ended up using it non-stop in the months that followed and I really loved it. The palette includes 3 shades of blushes and one highlighter. The blushes start from the lightest and go to the darkest. We have a peach one, a light pink one and a magenta one. You can use them all individually or you can combine them to create a more intense look. I use them all-together most of the time and do the “draping” technique where you contour and highlight  your face using just blushes and a highlighter. The palette is also very practical and that’s why I also took it with me on my trip to The Netherlands. The blushes are quite pigmented, so you have to be careful about how much product you use. The highlighter is quite subtle and natural though, and that’s why I reach for it, even on days when I’m not using the blushes of the palette.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age concealer review

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age concealer review

This review is long due, and I really wanted to talk to you about this product. I actually hadn’t written a review in quite a while, that’s why, but I think it’s finally time to have a talk about it. You may have heard about Maybelline’s Instant Anti-Age concealer before, or you might know it as Instant Age-Rewind concealer, as it’s more well-known in other countries. We actually didn’t have it in Greece till a few months ago, when it was finally released, and I’ve heard so much about it, that I was dying to try it out. Thankfully Maybelline sent me one of the first ones to try and I can see why there’s been such a hype about it. It’s really light-weight, it conceals my dark circles perfectly, it doesn’t stay in the fine lines, but it stays put for hours, and doesn’t need any setting powder on it. It’s very easy to use, by twisting its body, and applying it with the sponge on top of the product, you get just the right amount. I also love the fact, that you can see how much product you have left, so you can buy another one before this one finishes. The only thing I would love, is if we had more shades of the product, available in Greece, because this Beige Nu, might be light enough to use, but it’s still darker than my skin, so when I’m using a lighter foundation, I can’t use this one. Other than that, it’s perfect. Have you tried it? What’s your opinion about it?

CND Vinylux Rhythm & Heat collection review

CND Vinylux Rhythm & Heat collection reviewI have reviewed this collection in one of my videos, but I realized, that I haven’t done it on my blog where I also write in English. So let’s review the new Rhythm & Heat collection of CND. I received these nail polishes some time ago, and I tried them on in the next couple of weeks. Starting from left to right, the coral one is #244 Mambo Beat, and it’s the best one among the 3. You only need one coat to have a nice non-sheer color, but you have the perfect coverage with 2 layers. #245, Sugarcane is the next best one. However, you definitely need 2 coats of this for a full coverage, and non-sheer result. Finally, with #249 Shells in the Sand you definitely need 3 coats of nail polish to have the desirable result but the color does look perfect in the end. CND’s Vinylux top coat is a classic you must own. It makes your manicure last longer, makes your nails shinier, and helps your nail polish dry faster. Have you tried any of these? What’s your opinion?

Garnier Micellar Oil-infused cleansing water review

Garnier Micellar Oil-infused cleansing water review

I’ve been using this oil-infused Micellar cleansing water by Garnier, for few months now, and I’m very satisfied by it. It’s a very potent makeup removing cleansing water, that is not at all oily, and doesn’t need to be washed off. It’s suitable for even waterproof makeup products, and you can use it on your whole face, eyes and lips. It’s suitable for sensitive skins, and it’s 400ml of product which will give you about 200 uses. You just shake the product before using it, and then put it on a cotton pad to remove your makeup. It has a very nice scent, which is not too intense and it removes your makeup easily and completely. It’s one of the best and most inexpensive micellar waters I’ve used and I’ll probably re-purchase it when this bottle is over.
