First outfit post

DSC08594After spending weeks thinking about it, I finally decided to do an outfit post (my first one – woohoooo!). I already told you that I’m camera shy and I also have to add that I’m totally not photogenic at all (I have to take a hundred shots in order to get a good one). As much as I like taking pictures and keeping memorabilia, I suck when it comes to have my own taken. However, I always find it more interesting when I see outfit posts, in the blogs I’m reading, so I thought I’d take a shot.

Different place, different price

A few days ago, while researching for a post I did, I noticed the difference between the price of a product on an online shop in Europe, and the price of the same product on the same online shop in the US. And this difference is very obvious, putting European consumers at a disadvantage compared to those living in the US.

Given the facts that the currency today is: 1.00 USD = (approximately) 0.704 EUR (Source), a pair of shoes that costs 640$ in the US, should cost (app.) 450.60€ in Europe. Of course, no one sells something at exactly the same price that should have cost if we had bought it in the US, which is reasonable enough. Maybe, the seller would raise that price to cost 50-100€ more than in the US, leaving the price somewhere between 500 and 550€. Well, think again!

Gimme more Drama

It seems that many of you liked the lovely Tsakiris-Mallas pumps, on my “Drama Queen” post, as a less expensive alternative to Brian Atwood’s Drama pumps (which are already sold out everywhere), so I decided to do another post. This post is to inform my readers who don’t live here in Greece and can’t find this brand elsewhere, that Steve Madden has done his own version to the Drama Pump (if you don’t already know it). It’s called Bevv-B and you can find it here and in various other online stores for 99.95$.

Spring Purchases Volume 2

My other purchase, as I already told you, was a pair of shoes. Once again, I bought a Tsakiris-Mallas pair, after a spontaneous walk at exē stores. Between hundreds of designs I immediately picked this pair as it was more special than the others.

Post it

Remember my previous post about some shoes I bought by a Greek brand called Takiris-Mallas which were very similar to the Brian Atwood Drama patent-leather pumps? Guess what! I found out that they posted about my blog in their twitter and Facebook page. 🙂 For those of you who don’t understand Greek, it says: “Bloggers prefer” and there’s a link to my “The Drama Queen” post.

Here’s a picture of the link in their Facebook page:
